Hi guys, all this quarantine and imprisonment at home from this Coronavirus is giving me nostalgia about having fun with my radio control car back from when about 18 years ago.

So, after some searching on the internet, I found these  WLToys branded 1:28 scale radio control cars:

Check out the size - it's very small, and would fit the Kyosho Mini-Z bodies. I have already ordered one on the way, and looking at the cars itself and looking at the reviews.

The good:

 - fully proportionate controls - this means the speed is controllable from slow to fast, and the steering angle is proportional - that is, you can turn the wheel to any angle based on your input, rather than toy-grade radio controls where the steering is either full left / right or centre.

- it's quite inexpensive for what you get

- it's small - that means you can play with it almost anywhere, in your own room, in the living room, on the dining table,  on the coffee table.. with the drift cars on any flat surface will do, and for the buggies pretty much any sorta of reasonable terrain in and around the house!

- lots of variety - as we can see from the pictures, there is a drift car, a rally style car, a monster truck, a racing baja-style truck, and 2 buggies / off-roaders.

- spare parts are available - this means that if you break something, you won't be throwing the whole thing away. There are plenty of spares and hop-up parts available for you to upgrade or make repair replacements with.

- Great for older kids to learn about mechanicals such as how differentials work or suspensions work on a scale car or to go into the hobby

The bad:

- not as tough as toy-grade stuff.. as in because this is made up with a lot of very small moving parts such as suspension, so the thing may break if you wipe out hard enough. Will stand up to reasonable bangs and crashes, but not going to stand up to absolute abuse that small kids may put on the car. Definitely not for very young kids - this is for older kids to learn about more complex mechanicals.. If you are buying this for very young kids - buy the Rock Crawler from my previous post.
