"HO Scale" Hot Wheels L7164 Custom 67' Mustang, in Gold & Black 1:87 Scale.
This version of Hot Wheels has a fair bit more detail than the conventional toy grade Hot Wheels products at a much smaller scale. HO scale, I've been reading about, is one of the original scale for railroad and train hobbyists from the days of railroad modelling, so it works out to be about 1:87 in scale. Therefore it is reasonable to assume that this scale exists for railroad hobbyists - or - just hobbyists without a lot of room in particular.
At this scale, the model would fit nicely on one's desk at home or at work, especially if space is a constraint, or if one has too many models. Even as a child's toy it would be a nice scale to play with although the normal 1/64 scale Hot Wheels are plentiful and can be paired with its tracks and accessories, although at a smaller size it represents a choke hazard so it is not for very young collectors.
If static scale models are your thing, and prefer a smaller scale, these Hot Wheels HO scale models make for excellent display (or play) choices.
